International women's day is here , what's international women's day? It's a global holiday on the 8th of March to memorialize the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women and promote equal rights.

Let's start with the history, IWD was made a holiday on February 28th 1909. IWD became a mainstream global holiday following its adoption by the United Nations in 1977.

In some parts of the world, IWD still reflects its political origins, being marked by protests; in other areas, particularly in the West, it is largely sociocultural celebration of womanhood.
